What is on the cards?

Tarot card reading may seem bizarre or not for you. But since the 1800’s, our ancestors read their cards almost everyday to attempt to foresee themes or events that may or may not happen. Hence the saying ‘what’s on the cards for today? Or the phrase, ’Looks like a wedding is on the cards for next year’, etc. you get the picture. These phrases are engrained in us, we’ve just lost their true meaning.

I have had my cards read by various clairvoyants over the years and some readers have been so accurate its incredible. That being said a lot can be left open to interpretation and its best to find a card reader through personal recommendation. Understandably, tarot card reading can be easily dismissed as it is not based on science or fact but it can be highly entertaining if nothing else.

I used to look to card reading as a means of reassurance when all was not going according to plan in my life. Cards may not hold the answer for everyone but for me it certainly sent me on a spiritual journey that I had been neglecting for far too long. Suffering forces you into a space of growth and cards gave me comfort during those times. Sometimes a possible glimpse of the future was all the hope I needed.

Nowadays, I read my own cards for fun and as part of a meditation or prayer ritual. Cards are interesting to me as they mostly use the universal language of symbolism. Divine guidance can speak to you in ways which are usually symbolic but its our job to listen, fine tune our thoughts, images, emotions and trust ourselves to interpret the highest good from the messages.

If nothing else, reading your own cards can be a lovely way to start the day, something I wish I had the time and space to do everyday!

I use these gorgeous cards and I love them! You can find the lotus candle holder here.

Recently, I came across this lovely brand called LSW, they aren’t tarot cards but mini mind cards helping you to be more mindful on a daily basis and to design the life you want. Want to know whats on the cards today? Why not decide for yourself.

Thank you for reading. May you live wild and free.

Love,

Hilary x
